An organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Platform Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise-scale Azure data environments. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Azure administration, platform engineering, and data engineering services who can support complex, multi-environment cloud infrastructures.
The position focuses on delivering scalable and high-performance data solutions using Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks. The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring operational reliability through advanced DevOps practices.

🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Azure Data Services including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Cosmos DB, ADLS Gen2, and Event Hub
- Provision and manage Azure infrastructure such as VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and service endpoints
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates and Terraform
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins
- Automate workflows and processes using Python and shell scripting
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management solutions
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization
- Develop and manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and failover strategies
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Azure services including Databricks and ADF
🎓 Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 7–15 years of experience in cloud engineering, data platforms, or related roles
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering services (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks, Cosmos DB, Event Hub)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates)
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
- Ability to manage multi-environment setups (Dev, Test, PreProd, Prod)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI is an advantage
- Experience working in Agile environments
