A leading industrial project in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced ICS Cybersecurity Engineer to support cybersecurity compliance and operational resilience across critical industrial control systems and digital infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in OT/ICS cybersecurity, industrial automation systems, and cybersecurity implementation within large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.

The selected candidate will work closely with engineering teams, commissioning specialists, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity readiness throughout construction, commissioning, startup, and operational handover phases. The position plays a vital role in maintaining secure industrial operations while ensuring compliance with Saudi cybersecurity regulations and internationally recognized OT security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field verification of cybersecurity design, implementation, and testing of OT/ICS assets
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulations, and project specifications
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity asset registers and technical documentation
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
• Validate firewall rules, secure remote access systems, and endpoint hardening controls
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and cybersecurity readiness activities
• Coordinate cybersecurity implementation with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Review and approve third-party and vendor access to industrial systems
• Lead FAT, SAT, CSAT, and cybersecurity performance testing procedures
• Track, monitor, and resolve cybersecurity-related punch list items
• Support cybersecurity change management and project compliance activities
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and management updates related to cybersecurity operations
• Support OT cybersecurity handover activities including incident response alignment
• Contribute to long-term OT cybersecurity operations including monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and remote support

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Process Automation, or related field
• 10–15 years of experience in OT/ICS environments with at least 3 years focused on ICS cybersecurity
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems including SCADA, DCS, and PLC environments
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, PROFINET, DNP3, and IEC 61850
• Experience with cybersecurity technologies including firewalls, IDS, antivirus systems, and vulnerability assessment tools
• Hands-on expertise with Saudi cybersecurity standards including HCIS, NCA, CRA, and ISA/IEC 62443
• Strong understanding of large-scale project execution from construction through commissioning and operational handover
• Professional certifications such as ISA/IEC 62443, SANS, CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical coordination skills
