Job Overview
A major industrial project in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Instrument & Controls Engineer – Cyber Coordination to support secure and compliant implementation of process control, automation, and industrial cybersecurity systems. This site-based role is ideal for senior engineering professionals with strong expertise in instrumentation, industrial control systems, commissioning activities, and cybersecurity coordination within complex industrial environments.
The selected candidate will work closely with project execution teams, commissioning specialists, OEMs, and client stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity compliance across PAS, BPCS, PLCs, DCS, and vendor control systems. The role plays a key part in supporting construction, commissioning, startup, and operational handover phases while maintaining cybersecurity readiness and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the site cybersecurity task force and provide instrumentation and controls expertise for field verification of cyber assets
- Act as a technical liaison between client teams, project execution teams, commissioning teams, vendors, and OEMs
- Support construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover activities
- Provide engineering support for PAS, BPCS, PLCs, DCS, and vendor package systems
- Perform field verification and validation of cybersecurity controls in line with project specifications and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with Field Supervision Engineers (FSEs), subcontractors, and suppliers for cybersecurity compliance and testing activities
- Participate in FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning procedures
- Review vendor documentation and cybersecurity compliance evidence
- Compile, monitor, and close out Proof of Compliance documentation
- Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation systems, control systems, and industrial network-related issues
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are implemented without impacting critical project schedules
- Promote compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards across project operations
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems within oil & gas, energy, chemicals, or industrial project environments
- Strong hands-on experience with PAS, BPCS, PLCs, DCS, and vendor package systems
- Proven experience supporting construction, commissioning, startup, and operational handover activities
- Exposure to Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity within large-scale projects
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards including ISA/IEC 62443 and SANS certifications preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills within multicultural project environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Strong troubleshooting, technical coordination, and compliance management capabilities
