Job Overview

A major industrial and energy project in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Commissioning Support to support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities across a large-scale and technically complex project environment. This site-based role is ideal for engineering professionals with strong expertise in project execution, multidisciplinary coordination, commissioning operations, and industrial control system environments.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in coordinating interfaces between engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, IT/OT, instrumentation, and cybersecurity teams to ensure smooth project execution and operational readiness. The position also involves supporting cybersecurity compliance coordination aligned with SAIS, HCIS, and NCA regulatory frameworks while maintaining safety, schedule, and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities in alignment with project schedules and safety standards
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces involving Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, IT/OT, Mechanical, Construction, and Operations teams
• Monitor project schedules, identify delays, and expedite critical execution activities
• Support cybersecurity readiness activities during commissioning and execution phases
• Act as a focal point for SAIS, HCIS, and NCA compliance coordination
• Organize and follow up on coordination meetings with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Maintain action trackers and ensure timely closure of commissioning and cybersecurity-related activities
• Support change management processes and monitor impacts on project schedule, cost, and compliance
• Identify, manage, and escalate risks related to project execution, operational safety, and cybersecurity readiness
• Contribute to weekly and monthly project progress reports and status updates
• Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across site activities

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, Electronics & Communication, IT, or equivalent discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience within Oil & Gas, energy, or large industrial project environments
• Proven experience supporting commissioning, startup, or turnover phases of major projects
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management including schedule, cost, risk, quality, and safety management
• Working knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT environments
• Experience with EPC or PMC project execution environments highly desirable
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and regulatory standards
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary project interfaces within complex industrial environments
