Job Overview
NCDOT DMV is seeking a Junior Product Manager to support digital product discovery, delivery, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives in a public-sector environment. This hybrid contract opportunity is suited to professionals with an understanding of digital product management, Agile methodologies, customer experience, and technology-enabled service delivery.
The Junior Product Manager will contribute to product planning, user research, backlog management, stakeholder coordination, and digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Support digital product discovery, delivery, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to product roadmaps, prioritization, and delivery planning.
- Develop and manage user stories, product requirements, and backlog items.
- Support Agile and Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams.
- Conduct or support user research, usability testing, and customer experience initiatives.
- Apply customer experience and service design principles to product development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, technology teams, and business partners.
- Help identify product opportunities and translate user and business needs into actionable requirements.
- Support digital transformation initiatives and modernization efforts.
- Monitor product feedback and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Understanding of digital product management principles.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience or familiarity with user research and usability testing.
- Understanding of user stories and backlog management.
- Knowledge of product roadmaps and prioritization techniques.
- Familiarity with customer experience and service design.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Understanding of digital transformation concepts.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Local candidates are required.
- Ability to work on-site three days per week.
- Availability to attend the first day on-site to collect required equipment.
