Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee respiratory therapy clinical operations and daily departmental activities.
• Manage, mentor, and develop respiratory therapy professionals and clinical teams.
• Establish and maintain high standards for respiratory care delivery and patient safety.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, and healthcare requirements.
• Monitor clinical quality indicators and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote evidence-based respiratory care practices and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, healthcare administrators, and other clinical stakeholders.
• Support staff development, training, performance management, and professional development.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows, patient outcomes, and departmental efficiency.
• Provide leadership during operational and clinical challenges.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in respiratory therapy or a related healthcare environment.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and respiratory care expertise.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of quality improvement and patient safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site healthcare environment.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

The salary range for this position is $191,000–$222,000 per year.
