Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage health, safety, and environmental programs across major construction projects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems aligned with international standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 requirements and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Promote and strengthen a positive safety culture across project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project HSE performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs.
• Manage HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, project management teams, and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare HSE reports, performance dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
• Mentor and develop HSE personnel and site safety teams.
• Ensure adherence to environmental sustainability and workplace safety objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.

Certifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent professional HSE qualification preferred.
• Additional international HSE certifications are considered advantageous.
• ISO 45001-related training and certification experience preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience within major construction projects.
• Proven experience with Tier 1 contractors, international consultants, or Project Management Consultant (PMC) environments.
• Demonstrated success implementing world-class safety management systems.
• Experience managing large, multicultural project and site teams.
• Strong track record of leading safety improvement initiatives on complex projects.
